Saturday Shop RidesWe've been blessed with some beautiful fall weather. Our Saturday shop rides will continue as long as the weather holds out. If you're looking for a great workout on some beautiful terrain, the ride will depart at 3:30 PM every Saturday as long as the weather is favorable. Favorable means dry conditions and above 45 degrees. Distance is 25 miles and everyone is welcome. Our speedsters average 18 - 20 mph, mid pack is 14 - 16 mph, and the caboose comes in at 10 - 12 mph. No one is dropped on our rides. We post up confirmation of the ride on our Facebook page, or if you're a fan of Twitter. |
The 33rd annual Old Kentucky Home Tour took place on September 11th and
12th and was a huge success. Over 1,000 riders make the trek to Bardstown,
KY and back on Sunday. The ride had perfect weather and over 100 volunteers
supporting the riders. This is the premier bicycle touring event in Louisville
and features the infamous Pottershop Hill climb on day one, as well as
the Homemade Cookie Sag Stop on Sunday. If you haven't ridden the OKHT
you should consider it for your 2011 calendar. More information can be
found here: LBC

Our first Park Tool School for the season has already sold out. We will schedule a class for January and another for February. Dates will be announced shortly. The class will meet in four sessions over two weeks from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Our November class will meet Monday/Wednesday, but for the January and February classes we are open to suggestions on the days you want to meet. If you are interested, send us an email of your preferred days and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. For the class, bring your bike and learn such things as hub adjustment, cable installation and tuning, true wheels, chain installation and much much more. You will not need tools, but bring them if you have them. We will have some good deals on tools and workstands. This is an intermediate level class for folks that have performed some basic maintenance and are interested in going to the next level working on the bike. Give us a call or send us an email for more information 241-2440 or send us an email
